The NWSBA is made up of over 650 attorneys and associates who live or work in the northwest suburbs. The NWSBA is one of the state's largest bar associations and this is attributable primarily to our lawyer referral plan and the numerous and innovative activities available for our members to participate in.

Membership is the Key to Great Services and Discounts:

Attorney Referral Service - Expand your practice. The Attorney Referral Service helps area residents locate an attorney that is suitable for their needs. Last year the NWSBA forwarded over 1,800 referrals to our members.

Continuing Legal Education (CLE)- Receive discounts on CLE programs. The NWSBA has 8 - 10 seminars per season. Our seminars will accommodate attorneys who are new in the field or have been practicing for many years.

Judicial Screening - The NWSBA invites Judicial Candidates to be investigated, screened and be evaluated.

Judges' Night - Annual get together with members and the judiciary.

Opportunities to enhance the legal profession while serving your community:

Senior Celebration Day - Another charitable act of the NWSBA. The program is to help senior citizens with some legal questions regarding estates, trusts, wills, etc. It is in conjunction with School District 214.

Law Day - The NWSBA participates in Law Day, and our Law Day Chairperson coordinates programs. The programs range from Ask a Lawyer Day to Open House at the Third Municipal District.

Pro Se Court - One of our charitable acts. The program is designed to assist litigants at the Small Claims court at the Third Municipal district Courthouse in Rolling Meadows.

Northwest Suburban Bar Association Foundation - The Foundation was established to give away scholarships to Law School Students and Paralegal Students.

Newsbriefs - Receive the official publication of the NWSBA.

Law Committees - Being active on an NWSBA committee offers an excellent chance to meet other attorneys who practice in your own field or allows you be become familiar with other fields that you might want to venture.

In Court Referral Program - The In-Court Referral Program was established by the Northwest Suburban Bar Association for qualified attorneys to provide legal services on traffic/felony/misdemeanor cases.
