NWSBA social committees are formed to organize and promote events to the membership with assistance from the Association office. Those participating on social committees assist in the planning and execution of our signature events and networking nights.
Joining committees can provide you with a forum for learning and networking opportunities, as well as assist you in the development of personal leadership skills. Please contact the Association office if you would like to join any of the following social committees:
- Golf Committee - Typically held in the latter part of the summer, there is something for everyone at our annual golf event. In addition to an 18 hole scramble, there is also a lively Bags & Beer Tournament and a Wine Event.
- Holiday Party Committee - Held annually in December, the event brings members, colleagues and friends together in celebration of the holiday season.
- Judges' Night Committee - All Cook County judges are invited as guests of the Bar to join our members as we acknowledge our judiciary and their contributions in providing equal access to justice for those utilizing our court system. The highlight of the evening is the presentation of "The Honorable Timothy C. Evans Scholarship" to a local law student who has demonstrated financial need as well as a commitment to the highest scholastic standards, leadership skills and involvement in their school, community and extra curricular activities.
- Membership/Young Lawyers Committee - The Membership and Young Lawyers committees hold several networking nights throughout the year. Made possible through donations from our generous sponsors, attendees enjoy free appetizers and drinks "as long as the sponsorship money holds out".
